St. Patrick’s Day Party Food Ideas

It’s that time of the year again — the good ol’ luck of the Irish is upon us with this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day and everyone is getting ready to celebrate. If you’re throwing a party this year, or attending one, show up in shamrock style.

Here are some St. Patrick’s Day food ideas that will have guests asking for more!

Classic Guacamole

It’s delicious, a great party snack, and, of course, green — guacamole is a must-have staple of any great St. Patrick’s Day fest. You know the drill: grab some avocados, cilantro, lime, onion, garlic, jalapeno if you want it spicy. Blend it all together and scoop with tortilla or pita chips!

Grilled Asparagus Snacks

It’s worth mentioning that all of these suggestions will be green, given the season. And next up we have grilled asparagus. This easy-to-use recipe is a beloved finger food at any party, and the salty taste will go well with your ale. All you need to do is grill them up with some olive oil, and season to perfection. If you want to take it to the next level, wrap some prosciutto around them, or serve alongside seasonal herbs. Your guests will thank you later.

Cheddar Guinness Dip

And of course, what St. Patrick’s Day list would be complete without a Guinness-inspired dish? In fact, this cheesy dip has some of the beer in it! The recipe calls for cream cheese, shredded cheese, mustard, and half and half to be mixed into a blender. Add a quarter of a Guinness, blending until it’s smooth. Season with scallions, parsley, and hot sauce, and then salt accordingly. Chill overnight, and serve with crackers. It’ll be gone before you know it.
